Self- Value is the key to living a healthy, happy, and high-quality life.
What is Self- Value?
Self- Value is how you treat yourself and why.
Most people get self -value confused with arrogance.
Why?
Because almost all of us good hard-working people been groomed to be people pleasers.
In today's world if you put yourself first, you're selfish. You're mean. You're lazy. Or not being a good friend. And if you allow people to label you like this for choosing yourself first when needed you will end up sick, broke and bitter.
People who truly value themselves treat their well-being like a luxury car.
You don't park your expensive car in bad neighborhoods. You don't put cheap gas in your expensive car either. And you take your expensive car in for service regularly.
A person who values themselves only keeps good and positive people around them.
A person who values themselves eats and exercises to maintain good health.
A person who values themselves is aware of their progress.
In the book "interview with the devil" it talks about drifting. Drifting is when people live their lives without clear intentions or a specific purpose for their action.
If you can't explain why you're living how you're living how your living,
why you're eating what you're eating and or watching what you're watching...
that is a sure fire sign you're not valuing yourself enough.
Low self-value sets you up for failure. It keeps you from setting boundaries. It keeps you from saying no and putting your needs first. It leaves you feeling bad and unfulfilled!
Low self-value puts you in position to be abused by
employers, family friends and romantic partners.
Most people think it's low self-esteem that keeps you from succeeding. It's not, it's low self-value. And people have been trying to get you to lower your self-value since you were born.
They don't encourage you to value you, your gifts and your well-being. The want you to consistently allow people, employers and lovers to hijack your time, effort, energy and talent...instead of you thriving by using your gifts, talents and intelligence.
And once you have nothing left to give, they leave you feeling empty and exhausted...having wasted all your good days living in their shadow.
But this isn't the end. I've got great news. In part 2 of his blog, I am going to show you how to raise your self-value and create self-equity for yourself.
Until then...be well beloved.
Best Wishes and Many Blessings
