What Is Content Marketing? Told By a Content Marketing Consultant.

Content marketing is the way successful business owners and entrepreneurs use media (Tv, Radio, Internet, Billboards, Email, Mailers, Webinars, Seminars, Podcasts Reels, Stories, Shorts and Flyers) to attract, convert, close and keep clients. Content is what you create, and Marketing is how you use what you create to attract potential customer/clients and hopefully convert them into sales.
As a content marketing consultant, I've personally been able to help small business owners generate millions of dollars using content marketing.
What is content?
Content can be anything. It can be pictures, videos, podcasts, reels. stories, books, blog posts.... As long as it can be consumed i.e., watched, seen, read, or heard, it's content!
The best content marketers create consumable content by starting with the problem and the person, and then the words. Ask yourself, what kind of problem is the person consuming my content trying to solve. Are they bored? Do they need more money? Are they looking for a cheaper, better, faster solution to their problem? And how can what I do solve their problem.
The second question you should ask yourself every time you create content is...who hiring the content I am creating? And does the content I created do the job it was hired to do.
Creating content this way does three things.
Saves you time. (No need to waste words entertaining people who won't buy or demand other people hire your content). One focused video or blog that helps "your ideal buyer" get closer to what they want, will beat a 100 blogs, reels, posts or videos that no one cares about or consumes.
Helps you develop "your" audience. (It's "your ideal buyer" who buys your products and attends your events). It's Kountry Wayne's YouTube and IG consumers who buy his books, show up at his walk throughs, watch him in movies and attend his concerts.
It allows you to be extremely profitable. (Profits come once you become "your ideal buyers" go to person), All you have to do is keep asking yourself...How could I help my "ideal buyer" get more joy and freedom? Then build your content and products around whatever innovation you come up with.
Example: I helped a client selling coaching services at the end of their webinar go from 2k a webinar to 35k a webinar in about 3 weeks by creating a "Fast Start...Start Fast Program". I knew their audience was excited and ready to get started. The problem was their "close", killed all the excitement. They didn't want to join a coaching program...they wanted a way to start fast, so we switched it up and it worked! It worked so well they eventually started doing over a 100k a month.
Which bought them more fun and freedom. How? They used the money they made to hire quality partners/employees and buy systems that their customer experience top notch. This freed them up to travel and enjoy life without worrying about missing sales. (And yes, webinars are content)

Remember this...
If you make books, videos, reels...for everyone will not attract anyone! (Be specific)
If it doesn't make sense to your "ideal buyer" it won't make you any money (Be Clear)
It may take some time for your "ideal buyer" to find your videos, books, reels. (Be Patient) Oh and don't get caught up in views or likes. There are tons of people getting views and going broke. Measure your success by sales and inquiries about your business.
